Culinary highlights in the leisure hotel Sonnhof Alpendorf
At our leisure hotel we approach everything with a good dose of dedication and inquisitiveness. That applies to our gastronomy too. You'll note the difference with your first drink at the bar, the undisputed heart of the restaurant and the center of hotel life. Most of the time the boss himself sees to the guests' well-being and acquaints them with the finer points of the Sonnhof bar culture. Later on, you have the choice of sitting in the Salon, Lounge or at the more rustic buffet. Whatever you choose, you'll find a private, attractively illuminated ambiance that arouses your appetite for more.
From the breakfast buffet and mid-day snacks to the opulent five-course dinner, everything is prepared, garnished and served with attention to detail.
Every day there's something new, something typical, something traditional to discover, often in exotic combinations, which open up new healthful culinary horizons.

The Austrian culture of eating and drinking is particularly close to our hearts. Here you can indulge in pastries and other specialities – from homemade apricot jam, Kaspressknödel and wild game specialities to our "Palatschinken" pancake binge.
Of course, it is appropriately flanked by a hand-picked selection of Austrian wines and spirits. We do not want to withhold from you how wonderful and down-to-earth the Austrian cuisine is.

You won't find the classical, leather-bound "menu bible" here. We prefer to present our culinary offer in a striking magazine format – with many interesting insights into the traditions of our cuisine.
A current example is our tendency towards unrestrained "Palatschinken" pancake binges. With pictures that whet the appetite for the sweet refinement of Austrian cuisine. Rating: Absolutely worth the sinning!

The à la carte restaurant Sonnhof Alpendorf
Here at Sonnhof Alpendorf, it is not a question of museum-quality design, but of an upmarket Austrian way of life. This is exactly how our restaurant is designed – from top to bottom. You can expect a cozy atmosphere that entices you to linger and enjoy. The warm, indirect lighting makes for a pleasant, private ambience. Cushions and lovingly decorated tables provide the warmth and comfort that makes an extended meal in good company so much more enjoyable.
Depending on your mood, you can choose between three rooms and the spacious south terrace with an unobstructed view of the mountains. Sitting down, relocating and staying put – everything is allowed.
In culinary terms, we offer you a multi-facetted standard menu, which is supplemented by a daily changing menu. House guests enjoy the included culinary delights, which consist of a varied breakfast, a snack buffet from 3:00 to 5:00 pm as well as a 5-course menu with many choices.
Those who have an appetite in between can, like our guests from outside, also dine à la carte at noon and in the evening and taste culinary Sonnhof specials such as the popular Palatschinken pancake binge in the afternoon.
For family celebrations and business events we arrange our premises exclusively according to your wishes and also fulfill your culinary desires.
In total, the Sonnhof Alpendorf restaurant offers a maximum of 100 seats for private events.
For smaller celebrations we offer our parlours with 50 to 70 seats (depending on table arrangement). It is possible to arrange events for up to 100 people on the terrace

Our "à la Carte" restaurant is open daily during the hotel opeing hours (from Juneto April).

The Food Festival in the Sonnhof Alpendorf
Our kitchen team had the say from 7 to 17 November 2019.
True to the motto "Surf & Turf goes wild", an accent was placed on gourmet cuisine for ten days. The legendary luxury duet of lobster & steak served as the working title.
The main role was played by hand-picked meat and seafood specialities, which provided culinary highlights in creative variations.
The meals were accompanied by the most distinguished wines that elite Austrian vintners have to offer.
