Four-legged guests can be taken to the terrace on a leash. Unfortunately, they can not come to the restaurant and the Cocoon Spa, as well as Spa Garden.

You can take your darling with you to your round of golf. The condition is that you put him on a leash.

Travel with dog in Austria

In Austria, there is a general leash & muzzle requirement for public spaces. This means concretely: If your dog wears a muzzle in the green, the leash obligation does not apply. In public transport, muzzle and leash are mandatory. In residential areas, shopping centers as well as premises of any kind, leashes are generally compulsory. Dogs are prohibited in playgrounds.

Dog owners are obliged to remove dog excrement. Dog bag stations are widespread in urban catchment areas, but not elsewhere.
Hiking trails are cleared even in winter, which means you can take longer hikes with your dog all year round.
There are some dog beaches in the Salzburger Land: Wallersee, Wolfgangsee, Kuchler Badesee, Wiestalstausee, Zellersee, in the rivers: Bluntau, Lammer and Salzach – all outside the bathing areas.
Dogs vacationing in Austria must have an EU pet passport, a valid rabies vaccination and a microchip with identification.
