You could almost say that yoga is the sporty version of idleness. In any case, yoga practices enhance everything we want our guests to know about idleness: Vitality, relaxation, sleep, but also concentration, serenity and contentment. After all, yoga is much more than physical exercise plus breathing and meditation. It is a philosophy that understands body and soul as one. As leisure-seekers and spa yoga hotels, we totally find ourselves in it.
We would like to make the “fascination of yoga” accessible to our guests as well. That’s why, in addition to daily yoga classes, we also offer retreats. Definitely not a marathon, but intensive enough to still benefit from it at home.
If you don’t want to miss out on your workout while on vacation, you’ll find the best conditions for it in our new 95 m² COCOON studio. You can expect a light, well-tempered ambience with lots of oak wood, elaborate light architecture and sound system. Floor-to-ceiling panoramic windows provide a view of the garden as well as the surrounding mountains, giving the room a serene charm. Another thing: the studio is reserved for guests over the age of 16, so you’ll find the peace and quiet you need for an effective workout.

All our retreat workshops taking place in November, such as cooking courses, smoking, natural cosmetics and bread baking, take place at the Zederberghof “nature & paradise”. The Zederberghof is located 15 minutes walk from Sonnhof on a hill with a wide view over the valley. Workshop participants who do not wish to walk can use our free shuttle service at any time.

The morning & evening flows take place in the yoga studio of Sonnhof Alpendorf and are held alternately by Barbara, Viktoria, Reinhild or Jürgen. As places are strictly limited, please register in good time.
